What is Emotional Wellness?

Our emotional wellness is linked to our mental wellness. We experience emotions after we have processed our thoughts. Psychologists define emotions are a combination of our cognitions, feelings and actions. An individual who is emotionally well is able to accept and manage their feelings through challenges and changes. It allows you to be able to feel through your emotions as it is happening without being overwhelmed by them.

Take this self assessment test on your emotional wellness to see how well you are balanced in this element of your life. We are launching our 28-Days of Emotional Wellness on February 1st.

16.I can remain calm and centered during difficult situations
17.I can self-reflect when I am wrong and deal with it accordingly in an appropriate manner.
18.I have a high level of self-awareness and self-acceptance
19.I manage my stress so it doesn’t not take control of my emotions
20.I have a healthy level of self-respect and self-esteem
