    To analyze the clinical and laboratory features of primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) patients complicated with cancer, and explore the potential factors associated with cancer.

    We consecutively enrolled PBC patients from January 2002 to February 2016 in Peking Union Medical College Hospital and performed a structured interview, systemic rheumatologic evaluation, and laboratory tests. The risk factors associated with cancer were analyzed with univariate and multivariable logistic regression and proportional hazard model.

    Among the 580 PBC patients enrolled, 51 cancers were identified in 51 patients (8.8%), including 45 (88.2%) solid tumors and 6 (11.8%) hematologic malignancies. Patients with cancer were older (62.1 ± 9.6 vs. 55.4 ± 11.6 years, p < 0.01) than patients without cancer. Additionally, positive anti-centromere antibody (ACA) was more frequently observed in patients without cancer (25.9% vs 4.3%, p = 0.019) compared with patients with cancer diagnosed after establishing PBC.     To analyze the diagnostic utility of lung ultrasound (US) to detect interstitial lung disease (ILD) in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients comparing with high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) PATIENTS AND METHODS We performed a cross-sectional, observational study in patients with RA-ILD (cases) controlled with a group of RA patients without ILD (controls) paired by sex, age, and time of disease evolution.     The aim of this study was to compare the symptoms, treatment patterns, and quality of life (QoL) of ankylosing spondylitis (AS) patients to non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA) patients in the USA.

    A cross-sectional survey was conducted with rheumatologists and their consulting patients in the USA from June through August 2018. Patients who had a rheumatologist confirmed diagnosis of AS and nr-axSpA were eligible to participate. Patient demographics, symptoms, and medication use were reported by the rheumatologist, while work disability and QoL measures were reported by the patient. Patient demographics, symptoms, QoL and treatment patterns of AS and nr-axSpA patients were compared using parametric tests and non-parametric tests when appropriate.

    A working model for promoting cancer survivors’ RTW by oncology health professionals was subjected to two rounds of evaluation by an expert panel in accordance with the Delphi research method. Twenty-six international experts in oncology (social workers, nurses, psychologists, physicians, and cancer patients) participated in the first round and 16 participated in the second round.

    The mean score of the working model’s applicability was 6.07 (SD = 1.07, range = 1-7). The model outlines in detail an integrative approach for promotion of RTW according to two axes the oncology health professionals’ role and the timeline axis featuring four stages of oncology treatment and follow-up.

    Noninvasive Ventilation (NIV) is a well-established treatment for Acute Respiratory Failure (ARF) in hematological cancer. However, the NIV impact on mortality in patients with solid tumors is unclear.

    To define the factors associated with NIV failure and mortality and to describe the mortality risk of patients with solid tumors requiring NIV for ARF treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU).

    A retrospective cohort study of patients with solid tumors admitted into an ICU between Jan 2016 and Dec 2017, for cancer treatment, with ARF diagnosis that had used the NIV as first-line treatment. Our primary outcome was ICU and in-hospital mortality. The secondary outcome was NIV failure. A Cox proportional hazards regression was used to identify variables associated with mortality and NIV failure. Kaplan-Meier analyses were performed to demonstrate cumulative survival.

    The incidence of fractures in pregnancy and lactation-associated osteoporosis (PLO) is very low. Some fracture cases of PLO are associated with vertebral compression fractures, while malleolar fractures in patients with PLO are rarely reported before.

    A 31-year-old Han Chinese patient presented with a malleolar fracture 3 months after delivery, while she was still breastfeeding. Temporary closed reduction and plaster external fixation were performed in the emergency room. Then the patient was admitted to the orthopedic trauma ward for surgery and diagnosed as PLO by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA). After preoperative evaluation, the patient underwent open reduction and internal fixation. With the diagnosis of PLO, the patient was treated with weaning, bisphosphonate, and supplementation of calcium carbonate and vitamin D. During the 12-month follow-up period, the results of DEXA and laboratory examination improved gradually, and the internal fixation was removed 12 months after surgery.

The platform was screen-printed onto a filter paper support, where the electrodes and the fluorescence μPADs were designed. Domestic dogs (Canis familiaris) must often regulate their behaviour in the human environment (e.g. no jumping up on humans or chasing cats), and life experiences also probably influence the development of EFs in dogs. Research into dog cognition and behaviour has been thriving, and some methods used to explore these concepts (e.g. object-choice task, questionnaires measuring traits like distraction and aggression) are likely to be sensitive to differences in EFs, even if that is not their stated aim. Here we examine relevant studies to identify experiential factors which may influence the development of EFs in dogs living in human care. These are early experience, training, housing and stress. We conclude that the development of dogs’ EFs may be negatively affected by hardships, and positively by surmountable challenges, early in life.
